Funnily enough, SnapCampus was put together by Graduates for Graduates and we know just how many sites there are out their advertising vacancies. But having to search from one to the other, using search engines, signing up to everyone and remembering where you found what can be a nightmare. What if we said that if you can't find the job you're looking for on our site, we had a clever 'bot' that would search all the other sites on the web to find what you're looking for? Well believe it or not we do! How great? Just go to the job search section us the 'search snap campus' tab first and check out what we have first, if no luck re-search under the 'search other networks' tab. How Clever? Don't worry you can thank us later!
How do I look?
Facebook, Myspace, Bebo and all the rest of the hundreds of Social network sites out there probably show you, out with friends, having fun, potentially some scandal! We all know its good harmless fun! But... What would your potential manager at PWC, if when searching for you on a search engine (let's say Google) saw pictures of you, out revisiting the kebab you had on the way home, as it ends up in the foot well of the local taxi? Not a good look! Well never fear, SnapCampus is here! We have profile and online brand protection, which is simple terms, when you sign up to SnapCampus, your name appears in the URL, which means search engines pick this up first on the top of their search. So Mr PWC doesn't see an embarrassing drunken mess on first view, instead he sees a shinning profile of yours truly, with a great CV, looking your best! Much better!
It's not what you know; it's who you know...
Networking and getting yourself out there is always important, that's why you can network, add, follow and interact with employers on the SnapCampus website, let them get to know you and see just how great you would be for their organisation!
Manage, prepare... or prepare to fail...
We knew that remembering application dates, recruitment fairs and all other things that go with Graduate applications for vacancies can be a mind bending task that often gets forgotten amongst other more important things at the time (coursework, exams). But we have created an e-diary that allows you to keep on top of all that and act as a diary that will remind you when you need to be on top of things!
Which Road to take...
We've including everything on SnapCampus, so we have traditional employers, SME (Small to medium sized) Employers, Recruitment Agencies and University courses. This way you're given a full view of what to do next and what is available. Whether that is on a graduate placement in a local small business, to studying a post graduate degree or landing a Graduate Vacancy at Goldman Sachs (you lucky devil whoever you are!)
One size doesn't fit all we're afraid
You will see in your account you can upload multiple CV's, there is a reason for this and that is you will need several versions of that important two/three pager of yours. Reason being having a very generic CV to try and cover all bases just won't stand out to employers; they will be looking for key words in the first 10 seconds of viewing your CV. If they don't see it, they don't see you in interview... it's that harsh and simple we're afraid.
A little advice goes a long way...
We haven't gone to the trouble of making pages and pages of text advice for you to read when you're struggling to get to sleep at night. Reason being we don't feel it's necessary as we both know, how much do you actually take in! So instead we've made some quicker bite size information for you to read and given some advice on other sites you may wish to check out!

Have your say and ask your questions, tell us what you think, experiences anything really (keep it clean and related though please...) but on the whole get talking, lots of very experience people look at this site, they will surely love to answer questions you have, or those who need to be in the know probably would love to know what you experienced during applications and interviews.
